The only genuine gripe I have is that my 2003 HCH gets "fooled" by stop-and-go traffic. Sure, the engine shuts off the FIRST time I stop. But if traffic crawls forward 150' and I have to inch up, the engine turns on and stays on. It would be much better if the IMA shut the engine down every time the spedometer hit zero.

Hope is like a candle held against the night.

After 1 month of driving the HiHy, there are only two things I can think of:

1. Lack of an auto locking door option.
2. Inability to drive comfortably with the windows open due to a rapid pressure buildup/release inside the pasenger compartment. You have to play with the number of windows open and by how much to make it stop.

Neither a major problem, just annoyances.

My only beef is lack of cruise control. HOWEVER i must admit i have only once previously ever used cruise control. This past weekend I drove 500 miles solo and wished i either had another driver or CC.

My car is great otherwise, sounds system is better than expected, remote key entry included, used to all the blind spots. So, I cannot complain at all.

My biggest complaint is not being able to just blindly gass it with a lead foot anymore.
I used to be your worst aggressive tailgater to have behind. The faster you get there the less fuel you burn, right?

Now that I have my hybrid that ignorant state of mind is forever gone....

But honestly there are a few quirks as some have already mentioned, but a work-around is easily found, and I'm not driving "Normally" anyway.

Efficient drivers do it better.

If I had an Insight the lack of cruise would bug me for sure.

I also don't like how other drivers drive around me now. I think part of it's because I'm in a Prius and part of it's because I drive more slowly.

Overall I love my 2006 Prius but here are my complaints

not being able to keep the engine off in the city seems the electric motor could accel you better than it does before using the ICE but maybe I am wrong.

Not being able to tow and toyota even recommending you not putting a bike rack hitch on, I know people say you can but why can't toyota say you can

I as well was a proud 150mph Subaru WRX driver and missmy manual trans and going 100mph around corners and downshifing past mustangs and whatnot. But I must say I love not having to worry about cops and is great only filling the car up every 500 miles as well as being able to use 87 octane. WRX was lucky if it got 300 miles from 16 gallons.

I must say the only real thing I hate is the lack of a bike option provided by toyota

Oh yeah one more thing the door speakers in the 9 speaker system rattle rather bad on really bassy music.

All my grips for now all in all very happy tansition from a turbocharged car to a hybrid.

A lot of the things on my list are already mentioned (autostop being the top of the list and no trunk release on the remote a close second). No folding rear seats is on there. Lumbar adjustment would be nice.

The lack of a hybrid coupe (aside from the Insight) bugs me.
The lack of a hybrid convertible bugs me.
The lack of biofuel-compatible hybrid I could use B100 or E85 in bugs me.

The things that bug me the most aside from those about my '04 HCH was that the stereo sucked and it had to be replaced, there's no auto trunk release button, and there was no sunroof option (though I've taken back that criticism after learning from this site that the extra weight of a sunroof was bad for gas mileage.)

Other than that, I'm loving the fact I'm usually getting about 48.8 mpg in a car I bought primarily because they closed the Prius wait-list.

Ditto.

Right now I'm annoyed at how easily the paint scratches... I swear. I put a pack of photo paper on my trunk a few days ago, and it scratched it! What the heck?!
