My Prius cannot hold many full sized people comfortably. I can get two in the front and two in the rear, but those in the rear are cramped in the leg area. The thing isn't made for those with long legs. I can, however, load a few kids in the back somewhat comfortably.

If you need to carry full sized people, a van would be a better choice

Wow. More accusations. I can see why your membership is dwindling. To answer your question, not that I should justify myself, but I have a carrer as a professional football player. My friends are professional football players. That back seat isn't going to happen.

But thanks for assuming.

Most hybrid owners would justifiably take offense to your statement.

Like I said, my other two cars are Civics, and both are quite a bit smaller than a Prius.

And if you think a Prius is slow, then you've obviously never driven a Ford Ranger with the 4-cylinder engine in it.

We both have Honda Civic Hybrids as our primary cars (2005 and 2006). We use them to travel long distances and for daily driving. They can seat 4 comfortably. We also just replaced our 2005 Ford Escape with a 2007 FEH. The FEH is only used when we go to IKEA or up into the Mountains to our cabin.

The MMH is Mercury Mariner Hybrid, which is a slightly more plushed version of the Ford Escape Hybrid.

My other "gas" car is a 10 year old Mercedes-Benz c280, a four door midsize sedan....which is starting to cost me to maintain and drive...but it still cost less than a new car. I used to get 25mpg when new, now even driving it like a hybrid, I can only stretch it to 23.4mpg...and I'm sure 10 yr old technology is polluting more than a new generation 18mpg SUV.

Hahahah...good one, Bob!

Manny, I'm no football player (I'm built more like a skinny basketball player), but I feel your pain. With the seat all the way back, I'm a tight fit.

I drive the Prius as my primary daily driver (for business), but the thought of putting adults in the back has got me looking for a secondary car. I wish I hadn't sold my BMW when I took the new job.

I am also trying to get used to less than 100HP on freeway ramps.

You never bothered to explain why your Prius can hold only two people yet it's classified as a mid-sized vehicle.>>>

Could someone please explain this to me? I've got two PMs (from long term members) and one deleted post that has me baffled.
