Re: You know you're a real hybrid owner when...
241 ... when you carry a cooller of ice to aviod using AC (then actually try to calculate this savings against the extra weight of the ice.)
242 ... when you turn the car off before shifting to park (you HCH owners know what I mean).
243 ... when you call your motorcycle a gas-guzzler. (I am actually getting higher MPG from my HCH than I do from my KLR650!)

244. when you have to switch from your summer sandals to your winter clogs, and spend your entire drive to work figuring out all over again how much foot pressure you need to get back to 60MPG.
Best fill 66.7 MPG, best tank 801.5 miles

245. You stop at a light 50 feet behind the guy in front of you, so you can look through his back window 3 cars ahead of him, so you can anticipate when they move so you can start your creep soon enough to not have to engage the engine!

247. ...you magnanimously let everyone else go first at the 4-way stop, because, well, *they're* all using gas just sitting there... but you're not!

248} Your family can't understand why you've issued each member their very own bottle and funnel right before you set out on that really long vacation trip.

Re: You know you're a real hybrid owner when...
249. On your rare visit to the gas station, you have to stop and think for a few seconds about what to do.....it's been so long since the last time you visited you almost forgot.
250. When you drive past a gas station and notice the price has gone up, you either laugh at everyone else's misfortune, or wonder if it will be back down again in two weeks when you fill up again.
251. You consider putting Stay-Bil in your tank because the fuel takes so long to burn, you think it might be going bad.

Re: You know you're a real hybrid owner when...
sorta related to priusinak's post...
252. you always forget where the gas tank door release handle is when you go to fill up your tank... because you use it so infrequently!
