Actually, I'm quite surprised. The best I've ever done in the summer is 64.5 on the dash, so I don't know why this one is so high.
I filled up at the BP I usually go to, and right from the start, this one was different...a little more pep from the spark, so not as much gas needed to maintain speed. This is a good 6 mpg better than anything I've ever seen. Wish I could say I stumbled on to something, but I'm afraid I haven't done a thing.
BTW, I have 37K on the car....

63. You go CRAZY when you're in the car with your spouse, and they don't drive as efficiently as you.
I've had that one with my son driving! I had it up to 48 or 49mpg and then let him borrow the car for evening. He brings it back with 43.5 or something like that.. LOL.. BTW, today is second day on this tank of gas and so far between 49.5 and 50.1 mpg.. 75 miles on this tank so far.

I let my wife use it ONCE...lol don't know what she did to get lousy milage then the other day my son asked "dad can I use your car to go to the store? I just gave him THE LOOK and then told me but yours gets really great milage. I told him yep but not if you drive it. He and his friend laughed and then said you are probably right. He then took his car to the store.

That's pretty neat that your son wanted to drive it. He could spread the word... and help get us teens out of the SUV fad

Well I would have but he just wanted to save his gas..lol That and he likes trucks so he's been looking at them. I try and tell him to get a small car, maybe time will tell.

64) You support hybrid so much, people think you are trying to convince them to buy one

I have had that happen to me. People are certain I must be getting a percentage of sales or something.

66) You get a sick 'thrill' out of creeping up behind people in "Stealth Mode" in parking lots and watching the startled look on thier face when they notice you!
67) When you carry on casual conversation using terms like ICE, CVT, Stealth, EV, HV battery, and Synergy.
68) You check your tire pressure as often as you brush your teeth.
69) When getting an actual "key" out to drive another car is too much trouble.
70) When you think something's wrong when the engine doesn't shut off at a stop light in a 'regular' car
71) You maintain both a printed and a stored Excel spreadsheet of you mileage and proudly display it to any poor soul unfortunate enough to ask "How do you like your hybrid".
This is a kick....Jason, PLEASE summarize this thread somewhere and archive it in a printable format on the site. It's too much fun.
