U.S. waiting lists for hybrid versions of Toyota Motor Corp.'s Highlander sports utility vehicle are so long customers who paid deposits are selling them...
Toyota already has 12,000 U.S. orders -- a six-month backlog -- for the hybrid Highlander SUV even though it won't hit showrooms until next month.
Further, Toyota has cut advertising for its new Lexus RX 400h hybrid to trim the order backlog, which has still reached 9,000.
Deposits on Toyota hybrids now 'tradeable'
