Korea’s new hybrid runs on air

Engadget brings us news of Energine Corp, a Korean company that has made a prototype that runs on compressed air and an electric motor. It runs on compressed air until it hits 15 miles per hour and then the motor turns on. These PHEVs (pneumatic-hybrid electric vehicle) needs to be plugged in of course. Oh, and they’d need a compressed air station. But besides that it sounds like a pretty clean technology to us.
