Officially Official: Connaught Type D V10 hybrid sports car unveiled - GreenHybrid

Last year Connaught announced plans to build a hybrid sports car called the Type D hybrid, which have official pics for the first time today.

The Type D has some very interesting specs including fuel efficiency of 35mpg (US) and 0-60 time of 6.2 seconds. The attractive little coupe has an unusual drivetrain including a 2.0L V-10 combined with super capacitors. A non-hybrid version with a supercharged version of that tiny V-10 cranking out 300hp will also be available. How big can the piston in a 2.0L V-10 be? The size of your thumb? I would assume this thing would have terrible friction losses from all the extra surface contact a V-10 of this size would have compared to a straigt 4 cylinder.
