Default Illinois Renewable Energy Fair-Aug. 9-10

The Chicago Prius Group is participating in our biggest public outreach event, the Illinois Renewable Energy Fair - http://www.illinoisrenew.org/events/2008_fair.htm . The seventh annual Illinois Renewable Energy and Sustainable Lifestyle Fair will be held on Saturday, August 9th and Sunday, August 10th at the Ogle County Fairgrounds, in Oregon, IL. This will be our fourth year at the Fair showing our cars and talking to everyone interested in hybrids. We have actually had people come back to the Fair the next year with a brand new hybrid, partially because of our talking to them.

What we are looking for are some hybrid owners to exhibit their vehicles on Saturday, Sunday or both. In return, you will get free admission to the Fair. You do not have to stay with your car all day, just a commitment of an hour or two with your car talking to persons interested about hybrids. Some of these people have very technical questions, if there is something you can't answer just direct them to someone who can. If you want to participate please let us know by August 5th so we can notify the Fair people. Send an email to chicagopriusgroup@sbcglobal.net with your name, type of vehicle and license plate state/number. We would like you to arrive by 8:30-8:45AM so we can place the vehicles properly, but a little late can be accommodated. It really is a fun and informative time, and also hot so bring a hat, sunscreen and water.

Wayne
