Do you guys have any photos of the five of you by the car? I could really use one. Send it to me via email.

Congratulations on an amazing feat!!!!
For comparison, the Tour de Sol had an mpg competition; the highest mpg was by a plugin charge modified Prius with 102.13 mpg over 150 miles (and this got considerable press coverage). The marathoners beat this with an unmodified vehicle!! The best unmodified vehicle was 81.74 mpg. So our hypermilers have clearly set a new standard.

PS Check out the rules for the Tour de Sol Monte Carlo type Rally; I assume they'll have it again next year. Saratoga Springs, NY is the end point. Perhaps those of us in the Northeast should start checking out routes.

Either computation method has imperfections because the inputs lack absolute certainty. The average of the 2 methods, for what it is worth, is 110.03 mpg. We can live with that.

OK, sounds like fun. I can't believe how fast RJ picked up the techniques.

X you did a great redeaming yourself. You ended up having the best segment did you not?

Congratulations awesome drivers and the new world record!

I think my SuperMID helped a little bit about the driving enjoyable.
Imagine you did not have the SuperMID and you had a nice and colorfull MFD which always displayed 99.9MPG and the good guess gauge.

Thanks all for the kind words. I have a full day of meetings at work but I will try to get some pics downloaded tonight.

Ken,
The SuperMID was invaluable. It gave us the feedback to improve our technique. As you can see, after each shift, we shared our experiences and tips and were consistently raising the bar. Thatr would not have happened without the SuperMID. We would have averaged 102-103 by my calculation.

In the second annual event I hope to have more team members. I also expect to break 1500 miles.

We will try to answer your questions later this week. It would be nice if someone could put together a list of questions so that we can make sure to answer each one.

Dan
