Default Database Question

I got my hybrid back in April 2004.
The database has data for me each month since then.
Soon it will be April 2005.

Will my 2005 April data replace my 2004 April data?
Or will they be averaged together?

Or will the database screen be expanded to show data for more than one year?

Hi Kenny:

___It just rolls over. You do not lose any tank data nor does it disappear as the average continues rolling from the total tanks entered. A nice way to keep them all straight is add a date in the Notes section if you haven’t already.

___Good Luck

I feel like I answer this question all the time When I first developed the database, I didn't think forward and forgot to include "year" in the tank log. Now, it's too late, as every user would have to define the year for each of their tanks -- it's just impossible now. The graph just rolls over and averages in to past years, which will eventually give you an idea of what you're likely to reach in a given month, or what you ought to try to beat. If you beat your previous years' average, you'll raise your LMPG.

Thank Jason.

That's too bad because my mileage in the first few months sucked.
Now that suckieness will be averaged into every April and May forever.

I guess I could "cheat" and just "edit" April 2004's data, and replace it with my new April 2005 data.

I like the ideal of the data in the graph reflecting my latest hypermileing skill, instead of last years ignorance.

Perhaps I'll see in the future if there's some way I can create this functionality, but for everyone's sake, don't lie about your data!!
