My Best Milage ever
I decided to try to get a good run on my commute home on Friday. Hit all the lights right and good traffic flow for pulsing and gliding. Here are the results

Re: My Best Milage ever
Wow, nice numbers. I love the Prius's consumption display, had to look at pic again for proper name, being as I'm running Honda technology's smaller info package.

Re: My Best Milage ever
Not too shabby. 21 miles on a quart of gas.

Re: My Best Milage ever
Thought these hybrid cars would do better than that?
I normally get between 65 to 70 mpg out of my car (VW Passat 1.9tdi) on my 16 mile journey to work (both ways). The most I've ever got on a long journey is 76 mpg, but then I do have a light right foot and am constantly observing the conditions ahead.

There, there. There's enough acknowledgement and compliments to go around even for folks who don't drive a Hybrid vehicle.
Yes, your TDi is a divine gift to a gas-thirsty world in desperate need to clean up its act.
On the other hand, we'll bee watching VW and the others to see how they will be cleaning up their emmissions for 2007 (and beyond). Until then, the empirical veridict on today's Diesel's will likely remain in effect.

At Hybridfest in Madison Wisconson, they are reporting 99.9-150 MPG. The Prius display doesn't record mileage greater than 99.9 MPG.

One post on this board for the express purpose of putting down someone's accomplishment. I think I smell a Troll.

Hardly, I genuinely thought hybrids got around 100mpg. I want to either get or make an EV in the future - if I can't or none suitable are available then I will be looking at a hybrid.
