Still $3.01 - $3.09 here for regular just a bit further north from you. Now tell me this isn't targeted price fixing/gouging by the oil companies.

Well, as with any gas price war, this one has degraded to the point where Hess and Wawa are selling below their own cost. And, of course, with them loosing money on each sale, this can't last for every long.

I do wish I had a larger tank so that I could hoard more of this $1.94 gas.

Are you sure it's gasoline? I haven't heard priced like that in 2 years. IT's about $3 for regular here.

Yea, it is real gasoline.

Like I said, in this gas price war, as in gas price wars in the past, the price drops to below what the stations themselves pay for it.

Check the "cash" price in the lower left of these pump signs.

Whoa, Walt, that's just mind-boggling.

I noticed it mostly at $3.25 on the way to work this morning. I'm still mid-tank, though, so it is likely to swing a bit more before I need to really start paying attention. I always drive my whole commute once or twice, really paying attention to all the gas prices en route, before I buy, so that I get the cheapest gas in the area. That's yet another advantage to having a hybrid and being able to go so much further on a tank than most people.
