Post 2007 Civic Hybrid w/Navi (Pasadena, CA)

Just took possession of my 2007 Civic Hybrid - Magnetic Pearl. So far I love it! I am fascinated by the discussions of hypermiling, P&G, etc. Had no clue about any of this until reading the forums yesterday. Will be trying to find ways to maximize mpg on my 50 mile (mostly freeway) commute! Also keeping my fingers crossed re obtaining CA's HOV sticker and the IRS tax break - so far 2007 Civic Hybrid has not made the IRS official list of qualifying vehicles!

Welcome! Is your commute 50 one way? With a 100 mile round trip I can see why you'd want a hybrid.
Good luck.

It is! Against traffic, however, so 50 miles/50 minutes! (except, of course, when there's been an accident which is when that car pool lane will come in handy!) And so far managing to average about 49 mpg (pushing for more though!)
