Welcome! I was born in Houston and may be going back for college... we shall see. It's time to apply to Rice! My father went there, as well.

Welcome and I live in the Clear Lake area. Not many HCHs around here, actually have seen only one other but then I get to do 1/2 my driving on the back roads thru bubbaville. It will take some adjustment to get good milage i.e. can you say reduced use of the a/c?. I use it only when it's necessary. Hey humidity isn't bad it's good for the skin..lol. Try going the speed limit, between 60 - 65 the milage starts going down hill. I have some places I have to go 50 and it really gets good milage then. Read the tips from Hot Georgia, he has some great tips. Which dealer did you get it from? Kevin

Kevin,

I actually work in the Clear Lake area, so we may actually cross paths one of these days. I ended up getting mine from Honda of Clear Lake. I didn't really have a good leverage with purchase price, since what I wanted (a 5-sp) were kinda scarce at that point. But now I have Ingrid!

Last I heard Rice decided to keep football despite their poll showing that majority of faculty was for dropping it. It IS Texas.

That's where I bought mine I went thru the internet on a few dealers and they gave me the best price. They had to get it from Goodson as it was the only silver blue 5 speed around. Kevin

Well, when I was shopping there were maybe 3 HCH 5-sp in the whole state of Texas (I checked other dealers' inventories as well). So I got H of CL to match the price from a Beaumont dealership and get it for me. Beats my having to drive to get it myself!
