Default Hi from Auburn, AL

Hi group -- I just joined a few minutes ago. Am the delighted owner of a brand-new 2006 HCH. We just picked it up Friday after work but already love the car. I was looking for a group like this to share all things hybrid. Our other car is a 2003 Jetta TDI 5 speed, and we have averaged 48 mpg in the three years we've owned it. I am very, very happy to read that "normal" drivers are getting high 40s-high 50s MPG and hope we can do as well.

Welcome to GH! There are a lot of us HCH owners here, but it's always good to see more who don't just live on the coasts. I think the HCH is starting to creep into the middle parts of the country, too. Anyway, Congrats on the new car! I hope you take the time to look around here, because there's a lot of good information, advice, driving tips. Look though the articles section, search the forums if you have particular questions, or post a question of your own. Good luck!

P.S. 48 mpg- good for you!
