Only had my HCH for about 3 weeks. We looked at the Prius but we needed a car right away and I couldn't wait 8-9 months.

From what I can tell, those who were in your position, and chose the HCH have been pleased with the outcome. There are plenty of good articles here to read and you can always ask around if you have questions.

So far we're very happy with our HCH. Our first tank, 42.7MPG was lower than I had hoped, but we'll see how good we can get this tank. I love the HCH's display though. It's like driving a video game sometimes.
