Hi,

I forgot to formally introduce myself. I'm Jinno
in Florence, Colorado, small town of 3000 people.

I bought my 2004 HCH CVT on March 26, and now I
actually enjoy my commute to Colorado Springs
(about 50 miles one way). It's like playing a game
everyday.

What's funny is a week later, I noticed someone in
my small town driving a Prius. I have to find out who
that is so we can make comparisons.

I'm glad I found this site. Great job to you designers
with all the info you have made available!

Welcome, Jinno. My school has 3500 or so, so you must really live in a small town!

Thanks for the compliments on the site. I've worked long and hard -- and it's just the beginning!

Hey there, Jinno!

Nice to see the introduction. Good luck finding the Prius owner in your town. I live in a town of 2500, with another 2500 town next to it. I just saw a Prius today, and I, too will spend some time looking for it. I wonder how long it will take before I see it again? You'd think with a small town you'd see it soon.
What kind of mileage are you getting and what kind of terrain do you have where you live?

Thanks for the welcome.

My commute from Florence to Colorado Springs has hills, some steep,
some gradual. Going to work, I have to go up in elevation over 1000
ft. So my gas mileage is poor going to work, and great coming home.

My first tank achieved 43 mpg. Yesterday I had my fifth tank and it
got 52.5 mpg. After 2500 miles, my lifetime mpg is at about 47 mpg.

By the way I'm still having trouble adding to the database. When I
try to log in to add a tank, it says invalid login. But I'm able to login
to the Discuss area with no problem. Oh well.

Today, it's been snowing in Colorado. First time I drove the car
in snow (slush). No problems. But I'll have to wait until next
winter to see how it does on ice!

Jason,

Thanks again for all your help with my login problems.

As for your comment on your school having 3500, well,
my dad was in the Navy, and my first 3 years of high
school were in Iceland, and the school was 7th-12th grades
with 200 kids. My senior year, I was in Sicily, same
sized school, but my graduating class had 23.

Then, I went to college at UC Berkeley with
30,000 students.

And now here I am in "podunk" Florence, CO. I looked
at the census info for 2000 and out of 3000 Florence
residents, I was the only Filipino. :o

I betcha I'm also the only one in this town with an HCH.
