Nice to be part of such an enlightened, forward-looking group. I've gotten over 54 m.p.g. with my Honda Insight over nearly 39,000 miles without too much effort. Most of my driving is local commuting, to and from work, short trips, etc. If it wasn't for the very cold winters here and with more highway driving mixed in, I'm sure I could have averaged over sixty. For the last 1300 miles this summer, for example, I've gotten about 61 m.p.g.!

Congrats! Compared to an average car that gets 25 mpg, you have saved a whopping 837 gallons of gas over your 39k miles!
Compared to an SUV of, say an average of 17 mpg, you saved an even more eyepopping 1572 gallons.
