Default New Hybrid Owner

Hello Everyone,

My Wife and I just purchased a 2005 Ford Escape and we are loving it. To me it is like driving a big video game. I try to drive as far as I can without starting the engine when I can. Looking forward to learning some tricks about getting the best MPG I can out of my Escape.

You are in for a treat! The Ford Escape Hybrid is a nice vehicle.

Did you get the front-wheel or all-wheel drive? I test drove the front-wheel and really liked it.

We purchased a front wheel drive Escape. Not much call for all wheel drive here in Virginia Beach. So far I am really enjoying this Vehcile.

We live in Oregon and took delivery of an Alabaster Silver 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid with navigation at the end of July. So far, we love it and the great gas mileage. We have just over 1,000 miles it. The mileage has been in the high 40s overall. The worst mileage was on a 110 mile run to the Pacific Coast on mostly two-lane very twisty roads. I was running late to an appointment and did 85 to 90 miles per hour on the 30 miles of freeway and pushed it to it’s limits on the two-lane roads. The trip meter showed 39.8 mpg. The Cadillac Seville STS that we traded for it would have gotten about 15 mpg on the same trip.
