Hello all, my wife just hit 100k in her '08 FEH. I'm not super familiar with maintenance on this vehicle. Here is what I'm planning on doing:

Change brake fluid
Change power steering fluid
Change coolant
Change transmission fluid
Change front diff fluid (did rear 20k ago)
Is there a separate coolant for "m/e"?
Change spark plugs
Check all air filters
Change fuel filter

So I guess my questions are...

Is there anything I'm missing?
Any recommendations for plugs?
Recommendations for fluids?
Are there any online guides for changing any of the fluids? (I come from the Porsche and BMW world where online guides are everywhere...but I can't find much for the FEH) Perhaps I need to find a Haynes/Chilton manual.

There is no front diff fluid, it is just the transaxle. Transmission fluid isn't advisable to change since it's really hard to measure properly. The transaxle does indeed have a separate coolant bottle. I would look at the escape city forum. Other than the transaxle which you shouldn't touch all the other components will be the same on the traditional escape.

 

Just check the owner's manual for proper 100k maintenance procedures, and use proper Ford or Ford-spec-rated parts. That being said, there's no power steering fluid (electric steering), nor should you change the tranny fluid as hondarider90 already advised. Coolant is the same for both engine and MECS system.
