Also, it mentions in several places that the max speed using the electric motor is 25 MPH. Is that an actual change for 2008? Or did Ford always use the 25 MPH number even though we know it can actually go up to 35 or 40 MPH?

We saw the pictures (interior and exterior) and decided we liked the current Bodystyle so we traded in our 2005 Escape Limited in for an 07 FEH. We were waiting to see if the hybrid system was going to be enhanced and what the new body style was going to look like. We didn't like the new version (too much like the Explorer), though this is just our preference.

I believe that has always been the number Walt. I'm pretty sure I remember reading 25 mph for the MMH when I was researching them this summer. I think I read that the FEH was 30 mph though. It might have something to do with the AWD. Either way, they reported it below the 35 or 40 mph that people have claimed they can run at.

I'm not a big fan of the '08 Escape, but I love the '08 Mariner. I'm planning on ordering one sometime in Feb. I can't wait to be part of the family!
