Anyone buy a 2008 Mariner or Escape yet? WHat do you think?

Someone over on Escape-central.com bought a standard version of the 2008 Mariner but I haven't seen anyone with the hybrid yet.

I have one on order. Ordered it on Feb. 12. I'm expecting it in about 3 weeks and its killing me. I'll be sure to post pics once I get it.

I went to the Ford dealer tonight. I'm buying one for my wife. We like the styling on the mercury better then the ford. She'll be getting the premium package with the nav unit if they can find one.

My wife ordered a 2008 Escape Hybrid back in February. Will post how it is working out once it comes in.

I picked up my 2008 MMH last night and I love it. The navigation system is great. In the 100 miles or so that I have put on it, I'm averaging 29.2 mpg. I have posted some pics in the Share section under MMH.

We picked up our ice blue one last night and absolutely love it. It's now got about 200 miles on it. My wife said she loves the car. The car is really a great drive and great on gas.

I special ordered mine mid-Jan & just took delivery on 17 Mar 07. It's a MMH 4x4 loaded in beautiful Ice Blue color. I was disappointed when the MMH did away with the Pebble interior color for the 08 model year, but the lighter Stone leather color looks almost like the Pebble color. I really like the dual climate control, compass, and ext temp read out. I love the Nav and energy flow, although disappointed so far with mpg - avg only 23-24 mpg (Nav) so far w/120 miles on the veh. And I'm not an aggressive driver at all. I'm hoping that will improve as I put more miles on the veh. Engine doesn't shut off until it's more than warmed up and I'm half way home from work. Seems like it should stay in elect mode longer than it does at very slow speeds. I didn't like paying so much for the moon roof because Syrius satellite radio isn't available in Alaska & you have to buy the pkg. Overall I'm totally satisfied with this veh & overall quality.
