Thanks to all who posted on this. I now own a 2014 C-Max Energi in the Ice Storm color.

Gary,
That 1K price is too steep for me, plus I'd have to have an electrician run the 220 (240?) volts to our detached garage. Maybe one of these days after a tax refund or something.

I started out with a 21 mile range showing this morning, and after a 7 mile trip it was showing 18 due to the regen. I think some days I might not run the gas engine at all, at least so long as I work so close to home as I do now.

Great Steve, most owners love their N-R-G and I think you will also. I like to challenge myself to see how far I can go in EV on one charge. I've gone 39.6 miles, but I know 42 miles is in reach with hypermiling.

Now, you've got a lot to read up on this car. You may want to check into getting that huge windshield tinted with Air-Blue. It's clear, and cost me $129 plus tax. As soon as my Sons '15 NRG gets here, I'm having his done also.

Say goodby to big oil with this car!

Gary

Great idea, I'd have to check the CA laws about that though. The only thing I don't like about the car is the panoramic roof. I think here in So Cal it is going to get too hot. It will help in the Winter, but our winters are short. So I might actually think about doing that with the Air-Blue.
