Question Averaging 3k per month on 05 FEH

Looks like we will have 36k miles on our 05 at the current rate of travel. The 05 is for the trips and the 06 is for the city, short trips.

Will probably get 07 to help reduce the mileage on the 05. But looking at the 06, the mileage is high for how long we owned it.

Anyone else have similar mileage accumulation

19,000 in 11 months for my 2005. Not a dime of trouble. No complaints.

Right after I bought my '05 last March I realized that I would wear out the warranties on miles way before the time ran out. I decided I would get another one so that I could swap back and forth between them, keep the miles low on both. I have right at 20,000 combined on the two FEH in a total of 19 months owning them. That to me is better than having all 20k on the '05 in the 11 months I have owned it.

My wife is a stay-at-home Mom so she only does 2-300 a month.

No regrets on getting the second one. Both have been problem free.

I will put over 30K per year on mine and my wife will do about 25K on hers. We can't afford 2 more to reduce the milage on them so we'll just have to live with the early expiration of the warranty.

I have over 55k miles on my '04 HCH, which I purchased in May '04. Should be over 32k/year.

I have over 27k miles on my '05 FEH, wihch I purchased in Dec '04. About 25k/year.

Both are doing nicely, thank you.

I am at 30,000 miles myself in 14 months of ownership. Interestingly my monthly milage has dropped off alot in the last 2 months. I was at 28,000 after 12 months.

It has not been trouble free, but it has been better then any other car I have owned.

We do use the FEH alot, more than I would like, but since the GirlFirends car is dying we don't have much choice. I hope to get a Gen II prius or HCH to replace her car soon - the the FEH useage will drop even more.
