If anyone out there has the ford part number for the hybrid back up switch, and a picture of the back up switch location that would be appreciated. Wiring diagrams would also be helpful...
Sorry about this rush but local ford dealer that work on hybrid escapes can't get us in for a look for quite a while and we need to finish the work by Monday assuming we can get the parts. You probably need a new Smart Junction Box, as the reverse relay is inside of that. Could also be the instrument cluster, as that is what sends the signal on the MS-CAN bus to the SJB to turn on the relay, or a loose connector. Did you get any DTC's? If it's the SJB, you will have to download the existing module configuration so it can be programmed into the new SJB. The SJB is under the console on the driver's side.
Just to be clear, there is no back up switch per se in the FEH. The back up lights relay is controlled by the instrument cluster through the MS-CAN bus.
