Default Been a while, 60K miles and nothing to report

Well, I've had my Mercury Mariner Hybrid for over 60K and there is nothing to report. What a great car. I plan to keep it until the wheels fall off. I still get great gas milage (when it's above 20 degrees outside) and the AWD has taken me through some snow that I never thought I would make it through.

What a great car. Going to treat it to a detailing this summer.

Yours is a 2006, right? Have you had to replace the original 12vdc battery or the MEC pump? Just wondering what to expect in my future.

No, but I want to get a new 12 volt battery for the car. The battery looks really small, but since it does not start the car, it does not need to have a lot of cold cranking amps.

I have done all of the maintainance, but that's it.

Love my MMH

My 2005 had the orginal 12V battery replaced in 2009 due to a bad cell. At this time, I have had no issues with my MCES pump or the blend door issue. The front tone rings and rear brake pads were replaced at 49,700 miles.

arghh!!! I sure wish I had bought an older model or kept my 2008.

The older ones were built like a tank!

The newer ones aren't?

Are there specific examples of the newer ones failing?
