Default Boston Area FEH Sightings

Since I am seeing more and more Hybrid Escapes around Boston, and since we don't have an official "sightings" forum, I'd like to start the unofficial

"Boston Area FEH Sightings Thread".

So, to start out, just today I saw the following:
  • Charcoal Grey Mariner Hybrid (Route 1 South in Saugus)
  • Red FEH (Route 99 Malden - parked)
  • Green FEH (Riverway - Jamaica Plain)
If any of you are on here, check in.

Add to the list as appropriate.

Ray

  • Saw a blue FEH at the new Grek place on Route 1 north in Peabody (yesterday).
  • Saw a grey Mariner in Brookline the other day (Pennsylvania plates)
Nobody on here from the Boston area?

Saw the Green one belonging to the former Boston City councillor today. Parked near Franklin Park zoo.

Another Green one beside me at a stop light near Commonwealth Ave. I waved but you were oblivious as to why.

There is a twin of mine (Titanium Green w/ Appearance Pkg) in Waltham. I've seen the lady driving it several times now. There is also a Sonic Blue one owned by a business near here. Never seen it driving, but see it parked all the time.

Saw two of them this past Friday, within half a mile of each other and within two hours.

First one was green, aboout 9:00 in the morning near the intersection of Huntington Avenue with the Jamaicaway.

The other one was grey headed west on the Jamaicaway around lunchtime.

Now that I am looking for them, they are getting scarce.

Anyone on the board ever make it into Boston?

I guess I found the hotspot for FEH's in Boston.

I saw a black one headed east on Huntington Ave this morning about 7:30. That's the first black one that I've seen - sharp looking.

Since my project will have traffic royally screwed out there for the next 4 months, I'm going to watch closely and since they'll be stopped anyway, try to talk to some of these drivers - maybe get some new board members. Although they'll probably be too mad to talk - we are occupying a 30' strip down the middle of a major road to replace some trolley tracks. It ain't pretty.....

Observed a blue one yesterday afternoon (2:30) on the Jamaicaway headed west, near Huntington Ave.

Not sure if it is the fact that I am spending a lot of time in this area or if there is a connection between the local demographic and hybrid ownership but there are a ton of FEH, Priius' and HAH/HCH in this part of Boston.

Default Boston University has them too

Saw a red one with "Boston University, Department of Environmental Health and Safety" written on the side.

I was surprised (pleasantly) to see that even though it was about 85° out today, he had his windows open too.

With all the FEH's I keep seeing around Boston lately, I am amazed that none of the owners are on here. I'll have to work on it.

Saw a red one on Huntington Ave the other day. Saw a grey one yesterday belonging to the local WB television affiliate. It didn't have any hybrid badges on it - wonder why. If it wasn't for the battery vent I would have thought it was just another Escape.

On my way home I saw a silver one at the Hess gas station where I normally buy my gas on Lowell Street. I would have beeped but I had the company truck and he'd have thought I was crazy.
This morning I talked to a guy driving the green one I keep seeing out there. Traffic wasn't stopped long enough or I would have referred him to this site. I'm sure I'll see him again - we will have traffic screwed up for the next few months.
