Class III receiver issues

Class III receiver issues
I was reading about FEH owners' experiences with their bolt-on receiver hitch and some people have indicated that there is very little clearance between the muffler and their receiver (about 1/2"), causing banging on rough roads. There are a few options now available, will they all have this issue?
Also, are there any clearance issues using a full-sized spare with a class III receiver?
Curiously, has anyone installed a Ford receiver on their FEH?

Re: Class III receiver issues
Hidden Hitch Company makes one that works great. No bangging on mine. A 2005.
Cost was about $199 if I remember correctly. Weight was about 40 lbs, and I installed it myself in about 30 minutes. It's helpful to have two persons though.

I'm using this Valley hitch on my FEH http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitc...cleid=20079915 I had a shop do the install. There are no clearance issues to the muffler that I'm aware of and certainly no banging. I actually tried a full sized spare with this hitch and absolutely no issues.
