I had mine done a few months ago. I thought the eCVT was making more noise than it should. It was quiet until it warmed up, and then makes an audible, um, how to describe it? Like gears going around - which is what it does. A 2010 FEH with half the mileage belonging to a friend does not make this noise.

Also, I bought the thing used with about 65,000 miles on it, and I had no idea if the transmission fluid had ever been changed. So I had it done. This had no effect on the noise and it works exactly the same as it did prior to the service. Which is just fine.

Has anyone ever heard of the CVT not working right and 'smooth-shifting down' and letting that engine rev up?

Yes Rich, this is my first, however I've had it since 2009 and it's always worked normal. Before as you press the accelerator, the engine would speed up and the RPM's would increase then the RPM's would decrease after I reach a certain speed. Now as I increase in speed the RPM's increase and never shift back down. Maybe downshift was the wrong word, but it should work like it is.
