Default Electric Failures During Rainy Weather

I've had two strange electrical failures during rainy weather this summer on my 2007 FEH.

The first occurred when the wipers refused to work in any position (high, low, intermittent). This only lasted a few minutes, then they were fine. Temperature was about 70 degrees F with light rain.

The second occurred last night, similar weather conditions. The display on the left side of the cluster (with MPG, miles to empty, etc) went blank. A restart didn't help initially, but after sitting for 10 minutes, it was fine after a restart.

Before I take it to a dealer and they turn some parts changer loose on it, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I've never had trouble with my wipers but I would guess that most problems with windshield wipers would happen in wet weather. I'd get that checked out before they fail completely when you really need them.

I have had my information center blank out a couple times. It has only happened when I first start the car. Cycling the key has always solved it.

I'm with you there, but if it isn't demonstrating the problem, it can be tough for them to diagnose - hoping someone else has had this problem fixed and can give me guidance.
