I came across this some time ago, it's a good complement to the service manual which doesn't go into the same level of detail in the descriptions (after all the service manual is more intended to explain how to fix something, not how it works).

An interesting introduction to hybrid technology in general and that of the FEH in particular.

I am not an automotive engineer. My computer science training is helpful in understanding how the systems are coordinated. I did not read it in the detail I would have if one of my students needed an exacting evaluation to decide between a B+ and an A-.

I suggest this be left here or posted as an article for future reference. It just might come in handy in some of the forums or for those who want to understand their vehicle better.
