Last week the hybrid drive info page and the real time MPG page on my factory installed nav system stopped working on my 2005. The two buttons no longer call up those pages, nothing happens. Everything else on the nav seems to work fine...radio, CD, GPS system. Only the screens related to the vehicle state and MPG are missing.

I thought perhaps the button is bad, but it was working fine with no sign of failure. I thought perhaps someone here has heard of a similar experience and knows how to reboot the nav system. Thanks.

If everything else works on your radio, then the problem is most likely the MS-CAN/ACP module, or its wiring. Pull your glovebox down by opening it and then squeezing in the sides and you should see the module on the right side. Check if the connectors are seated. If they are, you can pull your radio out and check the connectors on that end. If you need a new module and are not in warranty, they list for ~ $140 from Ford, but you can find them from discounters for ~ $110. The part number is 5M6Z-10E850-AA. Good luck.
