Over the weekend I joined the long line of FEH types with busted foglights. I lost the Drivers front to an unknown rock as some point over the weekend.

I'm going to order the replacement now.....

Has anybody self-installed yet? How much work is involved? How much did the Dealer charge to install it?

Most importantly - What can we do to keep the rocks off these lights?

If you search the archives, you should find my posts regarding a mail order replacement part that costs much less than from the dealer, as well as info on a thick clear adhesive product made for protection. It's kind of expensive, but I couldn't find any grills or other protection made for the Escape.

Install isn't too bad... wheel removal might make it a slight bit easier, but unless you have a good jack, it'll probably be more work than it's worth. There are instructions in that same thread (from the person who did it before me).
