Question Full size spare?

Anyone know if it's possible to put a full size spare where the mini-spare is stored?

I really don't like only having a mini-spare and am contemplating getting a full size tire.

Thanks!

david

Because of the rear battery, its associated parts, and the gas tank, don't think there's enough room under there for a full-sized spare.

Are you sure? The conventional '05 has the spare in the exact same place (the battery tub is a storage space) and I believe they offer a full-size spare option.

It looks like there's enough room there to me, and I've spent some quality time down there, installing my trailer hitch...

I just took my FEH in for it's 5k scheduled maintenance and asked the service advisor about it ... he told me that it shouldn't be a problem, although the tire is pretty expensive. They quoted ~ $475.

~ $475!!!!!!! Do they give you a full can of grease to go with that??? Sounds like the $16 O-ring I got charged for at my last oil change. Next time I am bringing an filter O-ring with me. $475.... You could buy a full set of real tires for that kind of money.

If it includes the alloy wheel it's not all that unreasonable...

I believe it did include the alloy wheel. The service advisor told me a steel wheel wasn't available.

I'm going to hold off until I find something cheaper.
