Hope that works out better than my wife's experience. Her Mariner's been in for a transmission leak 3x now (under warranty). They keep replacing an axle, seal and bushing and with a few weeks it leaks again. It went in the first time for a minor shift problem. Then they upgraded her Sync to 2.1 and the microphone cuts out, making hands-free impossible. Will find out tonight what they replaced this time.

My rental cost was $213.84, covered under the extended warranty. Repair quoted Technical Service Bulletin 09-17-7. This was my second repair under the warrent, first was the dreaded blend door. Next up is probably the MECS cooling pump since I am at 50,000 miles.

Thanks for the help GaryG!
Your welcome Chuck! And thank you for the valuable information.

Saleem, I hope you waited for this valuable information before replacing those fans with some aftermarket crap. Now that I know a dealer can get those fans I'm going to check with my friend at the Ford Parts Department to see if there is any conditions on getting those fans and for how much. I may have to use my '05 FEH VIN for him to look it up.
