How new is your FEH? - GreenHybrid

Picked up my new 07 FEH on Monday and called Nationwide insurance to update my policy. Come to find out that the FEH is so new that when entering the VIN their system did not recognize it.

They had to call NASA control to get it fixed, well let's just say I hope it is fixed and I am covered.

Progressive had no problem at all with our 2006 FEH FWD. It's listed on our policy as a Ford Escape HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle, I think is what that stands for.)

Well I will say the 2007 FEH was new to them. Does anyone know the official date when the 07 rolled off the production line?

I just purchased a 2007 last Thursday and my insurance company had no problems with it.

I picked up my '07 FEH on 7/24 and USAA didn't have any problems with it.

I use USAA as well which I should of noted.

It may be that they haven't recieved the VIN coding yet for some '07 models, rather than not recognizing the FEH, that the model year is throwing them off.

Usually nowadays, the model year hits in June.
