I got my 06 FEH just over a week ago and with 80% highway driving from denver at 5300ft and over the continental divide at 11,500 ft and back several times, I'm averaging 31mpg which I think is great.

In any event, I'd like to get a set of side step/nerf bars for the car, but despite being assured by the retailers that several models would fit, they mounting hardware doesn't line up with the holes (actually there aren't any factory holes in the areas) to mount them.

I've seen pics in the galleries here with them mounted. Does anyone know what brand they might be?

I've been looking into step bars also. The ford accessories web site has only one type, and that is listed for the regular Escape. The hybrid list no running boards. (Can the hybrid be that different?) They are listed at $399.

I 'd like to know where else you've seen the running boards, and which ones did you have trouble with(so I can stay away from those.)

It's cool bein' green

I tried the go rhino 4000 series. I talked to autoanything.com before I purchased them and they said they should fit. However, the mounting brackets didn't line up with the frame holes... or I should say, there were no holes in the frame.
