OK- here’s the situation. I have a non-Pats 05 2wd Escape Hybrid with 40k. The “PATs” light has never lit and non-Pats keys work fine. However- at 40k, it started blinking- on and off- key in- key out, day or night. The light is not addressed in the manual anywhere. Any suggestions? It's annoying at night.

Hey! I've known all along that that light was wired and had power.
I've wanted the ability for a manual switch to turn it on for a long time.

I think it is cool yours turned on, but I can see how you might not like it turned on all the time. It is supposed to blink only when the key is out.

Some wire may be shorted somewhere, or one bit of data may have gone bad in a CPU somewhere.

If you find out how I can turn mine on, let me know!
