Seems Ford has made this mistake before.....(2001 Rangers) They call PATS by it's old name "SecuriLock" but it is the same system.

I am going to see if I can find out more about the case, but if anyone can get on WESTLAW it would save me a lot of Google searches.

I should have access to WestLaw and others thru U of M, I'll pop onto the library site and see if I can get any info.

I look at the stuff I could get into at U of M and did not find any more info then what you have (in fact it looked exactly like what you have). I looked this stuff up on the on-line access to WestLaw and Law Net. I could get the actual transcript of the case at the law library, but I'm not going to be on campus until Sept.

SecuriLock is mentioned by name as a feature on the 2006 Esacpe and Mariner hybrids, at least in the on-line documentation.

They are still using the trademark apparently.
