Default Plug in Hybrid

I think this may have been mentioned, at least as a 3rd party, but at the bottom of Ford's site today is this link to an article about a partnership to research Plugin Hybrid Technology. Maybe the 2010 Escape will not have a gas engine?!

A Canadian firm (hymotion) is working with Ford Motor Company and the State of California as you read this. The weblink: http://www.hymotion.com/products.htm

There is a thread in Greenhybrid in the last two weeks on this topic.

Default Re: Plug in Hybrid

Also, HybridsPlus in Boulder Colorado is doing something similar.

Hymotion leaves the stock battery in place, and adds 7x more capacity.
HybridsPlus removes the stock battery, and adds one with 15x the capacity.

I am at the top of the list at HybridsPlus to test drive their first plug-in Escape ( a 2007) when it is ready, any day now. -John
