I had a bit of a confusing incident with my 06 FEH
last night. Seems the security system detected that
I had forgotten to turn off one of the overhead
lights between the front passenger seats. I was
able to close and lock all the doors but about
20-minutes after I left the vehicle the horn
started beeping. At first I thought one of the
doors was ajar but after securing them 20-min
later the beeping started again. It wasn't until
the 3rd time I notice the overhead light on and
when I turned that off the alarm stopped. I
would not have minded this little piece of
education but it all happened about 1AM.
My 06 FEH seems to be equipped with an additional
security system. There is an Oreo cookie sized
device in the lower left dashboard that was flashing
blue all the time this was occurring. There is a red
button in the middle of it. A neighbor owns an 05 FEH
and that unit is not equipped with this. Anyone here
have such a device in their FEH? How does it differ
from the standard SecuriLock system?
