Default Recall 07B48 2006 Hybrid

I received a letter from Ford stating that my car had not had it's recall work done for Recall 07B48, install jumper harness.

I was wondering if anyone else had this work done and exactly what it is?

I had it done and they typed up that they replaced the service harness and reprogramed the BCM per recall... What is the BCM?

.

There are a few threads on this from about a year ago. There was a problem with a wiring harness in the high voltage battery that would cause the Battery Control Module (computer for the high voltage battery) to cause the vehicle to shut down with a STOP SAFELY NOW message. I had the work done and have not had the shut down since. Some claimed smoother start/stop and higher MPG after the work was done, but I saw the opposite.

I had the recall work done about 2 weeks ago and mile mileage stayed the same.

I had the recall done a LONG time ago... I never noticed a thing... MPG stayed just the same.
