I had it done and they typed up that they replaced the service harness and reprogramed the BCM per recall... What is the BCM?

There are a few threads on this from about a year ago. There was a problem with a wiring harness in the high voltage battery that would cause the
Battery
Control
Module (computer for the high voltage battery) to cause the vehicle to shut down with a STOP SAFELY NOW message. I had the work done and have not had the shut down since. Some claimed smoother start/stop and higher MPG after the work was done, but I saw the opposite.
