Hate to make myself a pariah so early in my stay here, but I have to say that I have taken my hybrids through their share of drive-thrus in my time.

One time, even got to explain how the THS works to a very-interested guy working cash at the local McDonald's, after he asked if the car was a hybrid. Don't know if he recognized the car, or just heard -- or rather didn't hear -- me pull up to the window in electric-only, but he was certainly interested, and asked intelligent questions about the car that showed he had obviously read some background information on the hybrid movement.

Not to worry. I was being facetious. Plus, a homage to Apocolypse Now.
