Default Service intervals for FEH in Canada

All,
Are there any other Canadian FEH owners out there that can share what their service interval is and what service book they have?

After my first service i was told 'you have the wrong service book, your service interval is 10,000km not the regular 5,000km mainly because of the much less brake wear due to the regenerative braking' so i came back today for the next service (at about 15,000km i.e 10,000 + the initial 5,000) and queiried again could i have the correct service book.

The result of this is they tell me that the service shedule is the same as regular Escape's contradicting their first comment! (I read everywhere that it isn't!) which is 5,000km and they gave me a new service sticker for 20,000km. And that all of the FEH's they have came with the standard book.

Is this correct or is my dealer trying it on?

Is there someone in Ford i can ask to get a definitive answer and a correct service book?

thanks
Dave

Default Re: Service intervals for FEH in Canada

If I remember correctly, the scheduled maintenance book for my FEH's say that U.S. vehicles need an oil change every 10,000 miles. For Canadian vehicles it says 5000 km (pretty sure of these numbers).

Not that this helps you at all but I am curious as to why a vehicle driven in Canada would have a different maintenance schedule versus one driven in, say, northern Maine or any other cold place. Don't understand the difference.

Have you tried looking at the myford.com website or anywhere else on the Ford site? You may have some luck there.
