Hi all I have 09 Escape AWD and on the way home the Sync would not work with my Ipod Touch.
SO I tryed a usb thumb drive and it did not see this either.
Lastly I pluged in my Ipod nano and it was no go also.


Any ideas or take it to ford.

If you still can get the interface to work manually, try restarting sync. It's Microsoft stuff, after all. I had this same problem in my '08, and that's all the dealership did...reboot. There are instructions in the manual how it's done, I think.

Took it to Ford today they did a software update.
It worked on the way home.

Yes. that would likely do it, since the upgrades also require a system restart. I've done two now on my wife's '10 Fusion Hybrid Sync system, using a USB key, & although it's somewhat 'strange' the way it works, it does the trick. Just when you think it's no longer doing anything, it displays a prompt to restart the system.
