What was the mystery? Didn't I say in February it was a VeraSun Vehicle ( the one in the snow ) that I took photos of? Maybe not. Maybe no-one asked. Oh well. I took the photos in the Parking Lot of a VeraSun facility, so yes, I can confirm it was being used by VeraSun Energy, and I spoke to the driver who sadly, really wasn't keeping track of MPG.

Coincidentally,

That is the same engine cover used on the 2009 2.5... (cept the E85 letters obviously)

Can you shed light on what the fuel injector and pump size is for the E85 Escape Hybrid? There is also a software update for the ECM on this vehicle but it is unlikely anyone but Ford Motor Company could tell us what this is.

I don't know that one... E85 does not require massive amounts of extra fuel... just perhaps 25% more. The normal ones in my car seem to work fine.

I've not yet taken it up a steep mountain grade with E85, but I've gone on the highway at 75 MPH which is almost as much... fuel-wise... as a steep mountain at 55 or 60 MPH.

I really can't tell I'm using E85, except my MPG is in the 20's.
When cold, I had a little bit rough idle with E85.
It is smooth at everything above idle, even when the engine is cold.
