Question Aftermarket performance exhaust for HAH

I'm sure there will be comments about this, but I'm really trying to get the accord into the high 14's and with no aftermarket for parts I'm kinda limited to driving skill, tires and maybe an exhaust.

Magnaflow Exhaust for V6 Sedan
summit racing sells this for 500 dollars

I just called 2 dealerships and it turns out that the Accord hybrid has the exact same part numbers for the cat back exhaust as the Standard Accord Sedan. Now I am just debating whether there would be a power gain that won't affect my fuel efficiency and I'm also wondering how it would sound while the VCM kicks on and off while cruising. I think it would be funny to come to a light and sit there in auto-stop mode and then all of a sudden when the light turns green you would hear a nice subtle rumble when the auto-stop disables.

well, anything that reduces backpressure increases engine power/efficiency.

Amen on that notion, having a loud exhaust suddenly go dead then coming back to life, I can just imagine it... what a wonderful sight

Isn't the backpressure of current autos calculated into the fuel injector mapping? And by reducing backpressure, some of the air/fuel that's pulled into the cylinder escapes out of the exhaust valves (because there wasn't sufficient backpressure to keep it there) so when the cylinder is compressed for combustion, it won't be as packed with air/fuel as it should have been?

I don't know much about this subject. This info was something I recall reading in a racing book/magazine a few years back. The article was about matching exhast systems to engines and then tuning them in correctly.
