There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep your car clean, but I'm under the idea of it's YOUR car. Enjoy it. Don't worry about the small stuff! I do understand keeping a car clean to help with resale value. But by the time I sell my car, a few stains on the upholstery isn't going to make a difference in the selling price. My last vehicle was 13 years old and had about 190K miles. It still looked pretty good. But the new buyer didn't comment on the random stains on the seats and carpeting. The vehicle, afterall, was well used.

But, I'm sure if the car was only 3-5 years old, the stains may have prompted the buyer to try to haggle the price even lower.
Kinda reminds me of plastic covers on a couch.
