I have seen the check engine light come one once as I was merging onto the freeway after a 25mph sharp bend. It stayed on for a few seconds and went away. It was at around 5500 miles and I've got about 8000 miles on it now. My husband also saw it come on once before as he merged on the freeway only a couple of months after we got the car (we got it in April). I mentioned it to a service advisor when I got my last oil change but he told me no one was available to run a diagnostic on the car because it was the weekend. I haven't had it happen within the last couple of months so I hope I'm okay.
Thanks for the technical breakdown navy. I guess it would have been less cool for them to just say that they adjusted the timing on the electric motor. I wonder what the numbers are...decimal inches...or just a computer code? Hey, I wonder if I can use those numbers to play and win the lottery!! Nah, might end up being bad luck.
