What are the parameters for the green eco light to come on? I have noticed it come on when my instantaneous fuel economy is anywhere from 20 to 80 MPG. I can also feel when the variable cylinder management kicks in, and the green light is often on before the VCM kicks in. It seems to me like the green light really doesn't mean anything.
Thoughts?
The Eco light is supposed to illuminate when the vehicle reaches an economical range. ...whatever that means. It's not solely based on speed, MPG, or VCM. Perhaps a combination of those (and other) factors? No one truly knows. We've talked about that before on this forum and we've all read contradicting articles on it.
